On 20-21 February 2018, the EU-Brazil cloud computing project, ATMOSPHERE will be having its Kick-Off Meeting in Valencia, Spain.
More than 30 representatives from various universities, institutions and SMEs involved in ATMOSPHERE from across Europe and Brazil will be gathering to discuss each Work Package and related tasks of the project.
The Kick-Off Meeting is an important step at the beginning of each major project as it helps align the multiple project partners and sets the activities to be undertaken for the year or more.
For ATMOSPHERE, the Kick-Off Meeting will be setting down responsibilities the next two years for each partner with a specific focus on the timeframe and what deliverables need to be delivered and when. A key focus of the event will be to set a timeline that will ensure that key performance indicators (KPI) of the project are reached.
The two-day meeting will also be an opportunity for the project partners to meet in person and get familiarized with the other institutions and organisations they will be working with. Hosting the Kick-Off Meeting is the Universitat Politècnica de València.
ATMOSPHERE is a 24-month European and Brazilian Research Innovation Action project in the field of cloud computing, funded by European Commission and RNP and MCTIC, under the 4th EU-Brazil Call (EUB-01-2017) where Brazilian SMEs will be participating for the first time. The project aims to provide a solution to assess trustworthiness of cloud applications dealing with data and support the development of more trustworthy cloud applications.
